Deadlines On Demand Announces Results of 2007 Legal Professionals Survey

LOS ANGELES – January 30, 2008 – Deadlines On Demand, LLC (“DOD”), the leading automated court rules-based calendaring service on the Internet, recently commissioned a demographic study of paralegals, legal administrators and legal assistants to better understand the needs of today’s legal professionals. The survey was managed independently by K&S Public Relations LLC through online surveys, October 22-October 30, 2007.
“The Legal Professionals survey was created to help us better understand the day-to-day business life of paralegals, legal administrators and legal assistants,” said Joseph C. We inquired about their preferred associations, trade magazines, industry events, biggest challenges, what makes them feel best about their job, and more. Of the participants that responded:
- Seventy-two percent have been working as a legal professional for seven years or more, and over 80% have a degree or certification in their field.

- Forty percent have seven or more legal professionals at their firm, and 68% work at firms with seven or more attorneys.

- Seventy-two percent are involved (i.e. researcher, tester, recommender/influencer, decision-maker) with the purchase of new software/hardware/services for their firm.

- Fifty-five percent state that legal newsletters/magazines are their primary resource for industry information.

- Fifty-seven percent rate Lexis-Nexis.com and Findlaw.com as their most visited Web sites.
