For trial lawyers, advocating in court on behalf of a client is one of the best elements of practicing law. Appearing in court as a defendent, though, is one of the worst things that can happen. Unfortunately, clients do sue attorneys and missing a court filing deadline is one of the quickest ways to a malpractice suit.
